  1. 342 crates of tea were dumped into the ocean in response to a parliamentary act which imposed restrictions on the purchase of tea in the colonies.
  2. The tea was shipped by an exporter in London.
  3. On a cold December night in 1773, a group of rebellious American colonists some 5,000 people marched from the old South Meeting House to Griffin's Wharf.
