9. Add photos, certificates, and other items of importance to you.

10. After each chapter a reflection sheet will be filled in for your portfolio. This will be stapled to all the rough drafts but not the final copy. Final copy will go into the binder in the protector sheets to organize later in the year. Students are expected to go over their accomplishments, goals, and learning skills with their parents in a student led conference at open house at the end of the year.

All choice chapters must be pre-approved by your teacher before you start writing on them. I have a list of other possible chapters you could write, but you are not limited to those.

We will also have a baby contest. Find your baby picture now and bring it in for September 30th. There will be lots of choices to vote for. Start thinking of some possibilities we can add to the list. Voting will be during the first week of October.

To complete the book, you will need to get a 1"-1 1/2" binder with the plastic cover to slide in a cover sheet and binding. You will also need approximately 25 protector sheets to slide your chapters, pages, and other items to protect them once the final copies have been made and paged. This is a long term project so the binder should be here by September 30th.

(Parents, please do not let your child talk you into a real expensive binder. They don't work as well and seem to interfere with the final product because they do not allow for the proper type of binding or cover sheet. They are approximately $1.75 for the binder and $2.50 for the protector sheets. If this is a problem, please let me know.)
