Creative
Economy
Initiative

Since midcoast Maine is home to many unique individuals who earn their living in “non-traditional” ways, MSAD #5 has partnered in the Creative Economy to help community members sustain their professional life as an artisan, whether one is a boat builder, self-published poet, jewelry maker, fiber arts specialists, potter or some other creative microenterprise.

These creative people help drive the unique economy of the midcoast and MSAD #5 Adult and Community Education is poised to help Maine artisans and entrepreneurs promote their business through education. We will work closely with Midcoast Magnet of Rockland to offer local artisans support for their professional trade as well as helping to ensure economic sustainability in midcoast Maine. To find out more, please turn to the Creative Economy Initiative section at the back of this brochure.
