Goals Objectives
1. MSAD 5 will use technology to achieve student centered learning through academic achievement and performance, thus developing the technology skills necessary for success in society. 1.1 All students will use technology to complete curriculum-based work which is aligned to the MLR and NETS for students.
1.2 The MSAD 5 learning community will have increased access to district library media center resources.
2. MSAD 5 will support ongoing content- focused technology instruction to ensure that all staff achieve the NETS for Teachers . 2.1 Teachers demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and concepts.
2.2 Teachers plan and design effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology.
2.3 Teachers implement curriculum plans, that include methods and strategies for applying technology to maximize student learning.
2.4 Teachers apply technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies.
2.5 Teachers use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice.
2.6 Teachers understand the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in K-12 schools and apply those principles in practice.
3. MSAD 5 will use technology to improve communication, data management, and administrative efficiency to enhance the teaching and learning process. 3.1 Increase use of databases for student, fiscal, human resources, and assessment management.
3.2 Increase the efficiency of student, fiscal, human resources, and assessment management resources/databases.
3.3 Increase use of electronic means of communication to the MSAD 5 community.
3.4 Create and update technology policies and procedures as needed.
4. MSAD 5 will provide all buildings with an appropriate quantity of quality technological resources and support, including personnel, to enhance the teaching and learning process. 4.1. Provide infrastructure and equipment necessary to support implementation of MSAD 5 Technology plan Goals 1-3.
4.2 Provide technology staffing adequate for district needs.
4.3 Equip students and staff with appropriate technology tools.
4.4 Provide appropriate and equitable access to modern computer workstations.
