The GED Curriculum
The students here are preparing to move in a positive direction toward possiblities they never thought possible anywhere else!
"This does not even feel like school," says one of our younger attendees to GED. "I never felt this comfortable in school."
We use all kinds of accommodation tools, for example, the talking homework whiz, koosh balls, stress brains, etc., to assist the adults in being able to focus their attention on learning for longer periods of time. Learners are always amazed at the encouragement and enthusiasm they receive from the staff and volunteers at the Mid-Coast Adult Learning Center.
We are all about empowering students to believe in their own success! We want them to take responsibility for their learning and revel in their accomplishments!!!!
